Hi everyone,
I have a DISK II (from my dead Apple II

),
Can I use it directly with the KryoFlux? if not, do you have any clue for an interface to control directly this 5.25 original DISK II drive?
thanks a lot

Disk II probably could be interfaced but you'd atleast need some microcontroller inbetween to translate the control signals.
I guess the only direct solution currently available is the Applesauce board which does more or less the same, but compared to KryoFlux, you'll lose the track-to-index synchronization used on most factory mastered disks.

Thanks for your answer, to summarize:
To read (and write?) a "flippy" Apple disk with Kryoflux,
I need to buy a 5.25 drive compatible and modify it ?

Any 1.2Mb HD floppydrive than can be flippymodded is usable for that purpose. Atleast known to work:
Panasonic JU-475-3/4/5
Newtronics D509V2/3/5
Teac FD-55GFR
