Hi all,
a friend bought a copy of Maniac Mansion which came with two Disks labeled (handwritten) with "Press release".
I will receive the disks soon to create a dump of it.
Is anyone here who could check the dump?
Maybe it is possible to check if the disks was created with a professional duplicator machine or if they are written on a Amiga... Or/and if the disks contains any hidden data.. Or different data from other MM releases.
If you have the time and could help, please respond.
I tried to attach a Pic but it says the board quota has exceeded (?)
THANKS

It's possible but impossible to know. Last weekend I saw several press review disks of Amiga games with handwritten labels, but they all had documents from the game companies with them.

My copy of C64 First Samurai came from Mirrorsoft, but with hand written labels. Before they went into liquidation. I don't believe it's different to the game that Vivid Image went on to publish. Did come with an Amiga manual heh.
Lie with passion and be forever damned...

Hi Darksun777,
I might be able to help you out there,
Have spent a large amount of time digging through Maniac Mansion over the years (mostly two C64 versions, but the scripts are largely the same between different platform releases)
