..I've installed a 3.5 inch ALPS floppy drive ..which has been cleaned and serviced ..
I have the B drive disconnected (5.25 inch floppy) temporarily as I have yet to fathom dual drive use.
Pix attached ..
I calibrated ..then dumped an old original win 95 boot floppy ..as an MFM Disc Image file..
I'm attaching the image link so it can be checked.
..but looks good with my limited knowledge.
Soon I'll need more information so as to use both drives.

So ..time to ask for help again..
This time regarding dual drive use on one FDD cable.
I'm wanting to use either a 3.5 inch or 5.25 inch FDD mounted in my case.
The 3.5 is effectively at the end of the ribbon ..
in PC parlance ..the A position
and the 5.25 is in position B
both have power simultaneously ..but obviously I will only be using one drive at a time to image whichever disk is inserted into the relevant drive.
Is this simply a matter of setting jumpers to accomodate both drives ?
I figured I'd ask first rather than risk damaging my Kryo board.
Do I then set anything in the GUI to read from a specific drive ...or does the data stream automatically from whichever drive contains a disk at that time...to make the relevant image.
hope that makes sense.

Yes of course you have to set the jumpers for 2 drives acording to the manual (see pictures on page 5). And yes you have to choose the drive from the menu (if using the gui).

Thanks David ..
much as I suspected.
I just wanted to confirm my suspicions really ..rather than just jump in and risk damaging the Kryo.

So ..looks like I'm in business so to speak ..
My only PC game on 5.25" floppy ..is from 1990 ... Leasure Suit Larry III..
I made the assumption they were 360k disks (so set MFM 40 tracks)..& I set off disk2 to image ..
The returned .img file contained 2 files ..LSL3.qa and resource.002
Sadly I dont have Disk 1 ...only the others disk2 through 8
Disk 1 empty sleeve was in the box ..but no floppy.
I have a horrible feeling it might have been in a 5.25" drive which was possibly scrapped long ago ..
ie the PC scrapped with the drive in it ..
doh!
I doubt there is any way to obtain an image of disk 1
I guess I shouldn't let it bother me now ..as I haven't worried none since 1990 ..so why start now ?
I guess there is just a chance someone has imaged this disk at some point..
so just throwing it out there ...
