I have also add a track/disk display tool into the software in order to kill the last bugs and analyze the tracks :
http://hxc2001.free.fr/floppy_drive_emu ... pydisk.gif
Blue line : the index signal
Red lines under the blue line : weak bits
"red" blocks : bad sector
"green" blocks : sector ok
and the scatter...
with the zoom function we can zoom up to the bits level
A very early version to try :

(to see the tracks : "Floppy image" Menu -> "Show floppy infos")
i hope to be able to release something official soon .
I am switching from the good old WIN32 to FLTK. ( http://www.fltk.org/ )karadoc wrote:Hey, neat. What language/tools does that visualisation use?
But the track image is a pure bitmap/framebuffer image. the image is generated by the lib libhxcfe.dll ( C only ).
Lots of improvements was done into the stream importer/loader since my last post here.
I have recently added a disk layout view mode into the software:
Here some example of bad dump (damaged disks...):
The software can batch convert all supported images (KF stream included) to BMP. Another way to quick check the quality of a whole collection of dump files !

You said these images are generated using an hxcf-specific DLL? If possible it'd be nice to make a tool that'd just do KF streams, possibly integrate it into the java UI.
