Not working with one of my computers.

Post by flaviosr »

Dear All,
I tried to write some floppies (RAW, ADF...) in one of my computers and I receive the following error:
Senza nome.jpg
I can check the FDD and I can dump... I only cannot write! :(
In another computer everything is working... the matter could seem solved but I "need" to use my Kryoflux in a specific PC that is located in my "Laboratory".
Can somebody find out the issue?

Another issue is the BOSSA one... from time to time Windows decides to "force" the BOSSA driver instead than the Kryoflux one... is there a way to solve this issue?

Thank you

Is it the same drive that writes ok on the other computer or are they two different drives?

Completely the same HW. I have prepared a KryoBox! :)

I also tried with running the DOS session as an Administrator but nothing...
Is it possible to write with the shell? I do not find anything about this possibility...

What do you mean with "shell"? Didn't you do exactly that in the first picture you posted?

The GUI shell does not include an option to write. Currently, this can only be done with the command line tool.

It is strange that it passes the calibrate test but then fails writing. Can this machine read and decode disks ok?

Make sure you have the same software versions on both computers.

There is an other GUI tool for writing available in the download section at kryoflux.com:

Windows issue... for some reasons Windows decided not to update the drivers by itself... I had to overwrite the old ones and now everything works as expected.
