Flippy-Mod Panasonic JU-475-3C08

Hi,

today I tried to mod a Panasonic JU-475-3C08 drive

Mechanically it's the same as the JU-475-AKJ in the video here
Worked out quite good - the head is free to go much lower
And best of all: the drive is still working after cutting out thing's :) )

But the board is different (I'll attach pics of the pcb)
Several connectors, and the TP's (also TP8 and TP10) are placed in different locations.
No Idea if they are electrically the same - I soldered it this way to find out.

Now I'm not sure, if the mod is working or not.

pro's:
- some test-images I dumped, seems to be working (both sides are readable)
- optically, the head is going below Track 0 when the dump starts

contra's
- dtc still shows wrong track numbers
- dtc shows side 1 as unformatted at track 62.1[70] and higher:
side 0 is unformatted at track 70 and higher

maybe a parameter is not ok?

Since backing to track -8 works the mod is working.

And typical C64 disk only has 35 tracks so the output is correct.

So the drive is working fine :)

I just misread "-8.1[00]" as "stepper motor commanded to track -8, but it was going to 0 instead"
Correct meaning is kind of "stepper motor commanded to -8 (frontside), to read 0 on the backside"

same on the other end, 62.1[70]
