Just for the fun of it, I tried latest KryoFlux (v2.62, 2016-08-28) on my iMac with macOS High Sierra 10.13-beta (17A291j), AFS formatted hard disk.
Everything seems to work!
macOS High Sierra 10.13-beta
Re: macOS High Sierra 10.13-beta
Tempting, but won't guarantee anything as Apple does bring regression issues from time to time.

Re: macOS High Sierra 10.13-beta
Hey. I had to upgrade my Macbook to High Sierra, as I need it for work. I just updated to the latest Kryofluxbundle and the I now try to dump a C64 disk with dtc -dd1 -p -a+8 -f/c64test/c64demodisk/_stream/C64_Demodiskette_1_ -i0 -g2 -y -i22a -l8 -t5 the computer just crashed and presents me with a Kernel Panic.
Couldn't find the Java-GUI in the bundle anymore... the old version just quits after a short time of loading. (Menubar says Kryoflux) and the it drops back to Finder.
Here's the crash report. Any idea what's wrong?
best,
falk

Re: macOS High Sierra 10.13-beta
Hey!
1. Please format your posts. I fixed this for you. Posts that are unreadable might be deleted.
2. Correct, High Sierra is not supported atm. Please use a supported operating system as per the software downloads page.
3. When you searched the forum for "Java", this thread came up. Did the beta mentioned there help in any way?
https://forum.kryoflux.com/viewtopic.ph ... ava#p12258
4. Did you do a full re-install of the DTC software? You might have to remove the old kernel extension.

Re: macOS High Sierra 10.13-beta
Hey.
Sorry for the hickups and thanks for getting back that fast. Turns out I am still on ElCapitan (10.11.6). I followed this instructions to get rid of the Javainstallation and reinstalled it afterwards JDK8u161 package: https://www.howtogeek.com/230145/how-to ... -mac-os-x/
I would love to clean the whole DTC as well, as I am not sure if the installer overwrites everything... any hints here?
The patched GUI from the Link above starts but seems to have no connection to the Controller. Calibrating give just en Err.
DTC on shell still crashes the whole system and ends with a panic reboot, so it looks like something is wrong with the DTC Usb stuff.
Any ideas?
Thanks a million.

Re: macOS High Sierra 10.13-beta
Since DTC does not do anything on the kernel level, it's technically impossible to crash the machine. There's some kernel driver doing this. Unless there's an old KryoFlux.kext (kernel extension) in the extensions folder, something else crashes, and DTC just "enforces" this by loading the firmware onto the device, which enumerates and the triggers whatever there is which crashes your system.
