So nobody has done any converters for Apple II copy protected disks? I know the current image formats are rather limited, and aren't good for archival purposes, but I thought someone would have had a temporary solution available by now :( I'm not a good enough programmer to do it myself, though I have tried. I'm still struggling to figure out how to read RAW stream files, and haven't even looked at the image format specifications available yet. I think I would really need a dumbed down "Kryoflux stream files for idiots" guide :(

About loading Apple II. I also have a dream, full RAW/IPF/SCP support in Mess :D

Since the source for the SPS decoder library plus a vast variety of binaries is out there... might as well ask the emulator authors to take a peek at using the data from there. For emulation or conversion... whatever comes more handy.

Are there any really advanced emulators for these systems that could in theory deal with copy-protection, cycle-exact timings, self-modifying code etc. that are usually employed on original disks? Running a simple sector image or a simulated disk read-out from a controller is much simpler.
