Re-create Amiga Floppy from IPF with WildeWutz is not a problem, it's work.
I trying to write floppy so re-create floppy always from IPF file BUT on Atari ST platform
wrinting the ipf file with WildeWutz is done
But...Floppy don't work on a real Atari ST
- my IPF file work good with Gotek+Hxc on a real Atari ST
- my IPF file work good with Atari ST emulator (on windows)
- Floppy it's a NewOldStock, no bad block. Format under Atari or amiga with no problem, This floppy already used without problem on Amiga after re-create on it, other IPF file.
So, my probleme is not :
- the ipf File
- My floppy(s)
- My floppyReader on atari ST (because I trying 2 floppy, One old Atari Floppy but work good, and 2nd PC floppy (it's a STE), new floppyreader which work good on my atari Ste with a lot of floppy.
So, question : It's WildeWutz work good for re-create Atari File ??? (from Ipf)
WildeWutz is just a GUI for DTC.
when I dump and re-create on image on Amiga...
And why, if it's misaligned on Atari ST, it's Work Good on All Atari floppy...
Atari floppy disc that do not create/copy with This floppy Atari...
And, as I already said, I have already test many floppy reader.
Whether on Atari ST and/OR Kryoflux...
Sorry But, No, My floppy reader used with kryoflux is NOT misaligned (I'm pretty sure about this).
And, on my Atari, like I said, I tested many floppy reader (that work Good But NOT with floppy re-create from IPF)
But yes You Right, WildeWutz is just a GUI for DTC.
I Think, maybe in the code of WildeWutz you read Header and give some information about the Ipf to write
and, with case do some option if it's Amiga, Atari...
Exemple, Re-create floppy from Atari IPF file with WildeWutz give me Not 'verify' in windows of console
But, when I re-create Floppy from Amiga IPF file with WildeWutz, it's give me more information during writing and so, it's check each track.
Maybe Atari ST Floppy reader is more 'fragile' than amiga or Pc floppy reader
Maybe Atari is more sensitive on the 'misaligned' floppy reader.
I don't know.
On Atari STE you can use a PC floppy reader.
If, with my PC Panasonic Floppy reader, I re-create (so with WildeWutz on Win10) my Ipf Game
if I deconnect this floppy reader and I connect him to my Atari STE
And so, boot on the Disc which has just been recreated, It's Work
But don't work with another PC Floppy Reader connected on Atari ST.
I must used the same floppy reader who created the floppy (on windows, with WildeWutz) on my Atari STE
it's the only solution that I Find.
So, Effectively, Atari STE seems to be much more sensitive on the 'floppy section'.
It's strange, I don't have this problem On Amiga
