My Kryoflux enhanced external SCSi case

Post by Franky » Sat Jan 08, 2011 1:48 am

I used my external double drive SCSi case to enhance it to a Kryoflux Station. This case comes from my old Amiga days, where I shared a CD Burner on 2 Computers....those were the times 8-)

This case is totally complete with an internal power supply, fan and enough space to mount the Kryoflux board and my 2 floppy discs drives.

Assembly was very easy because of quick mounting rails for the drives. I don't want to drill at my Kryoflux board so I mounted it using a long cable strap. Connecting the drive cables and the power cables and I'm finished :)

Can you post a photo of the back of the case? I too have a SCSI case but haven't yet decided on the best way of hooking up the USB cable. It'd be nice if it could plug straight into the back, but I fear the cable might have to connect through the back and into the KryoFlux, making it effectively fixed so it cannot be disconnected without taking the unit apart.

How did you get both drives to behave? Did you cut pin in back of floppy connector ... and if so, have a pic? I'm trying to get mine set up now with a similar configuration and no go.

Is floppy pin 33 the same on all floppy drives?

Yes. As are all other odd pins: ground.
