3D Printed case for KryoFlux board

Post by anarchivist » Wed Mar 27, 2013 8:33 pm

Hi all, I'm happy to report that a student employee that works for one of our colleagues in our shared lab space (KryoFlux Forums user Acshi) designed a case for the KryoFlux boards that he manufactured on a MakerBot Replicator 3D printer. For reference, our floppy drives are installed in drive bays in the cases of the computers to which we connect the KryoFlux boards.

Acshi wrote up a blogpost here: http://erecs.commons.yale.edu/2013/03/2 ... ux-boards/

He has also provided a Thing file for his case plans here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:64058

Feel free to reproduce it or give us any feedback on our plans here or on our blog.

Chapeau! Very well done.

If these would just be cheaper... We've been chasing injection mold for some time, but it's tens of thousands of Pounds for a thousand or more.
