How did you punch the square holes for the USB and DC power so cleanly?

And the FDD hole?

Hi clemfm.

I´m sorry to have kept you waiting for a reply, I have not been visiting this forum for a while.

Let´s see if I can remember how I did this... ;)

First I unscrewed the front and back plates, and covered them with masking tape.
I then carefully measured with a ruler, where to make the holes, USB,DC power,AC Power & Switch for back plate,
and a large rectangular hole for the floppy drive in the front plate.
Now I use a pencil to draw lines on the masking tape, to mark the locations of the holes.

Next step is to drill a series of holes a bit away from the lines.
For example, you got a square hole for USB, then drill holes somewhere between center and edge of connector.
You need to drill the holes so close to eachother so that you finally get a rectangular hole.
Then you use what I believe is called a "needlefile", a smaller type of file.
And you file all the way to the edges, and this is where we drew the line with the pencil.

For the large floppy drive hole you will be better off with a larger file.
Remove the masking tape and you are done.

I hope what I wrote makes any sense :)

Take care.
