So here is the functional implementation of the KryoFlux board. It worked wonderfully and I was able to make sector images of many of my Apple DOS3.3 diskettes yesterday and today, over 130 images in all. CiderPress was invaluable as it included an image converter. The AppleWin PC emulator worked great with the CiderPress image conversions from .img to .do images.
The Panasonic 5-1/4" floppy drive is old-new stock I found on Ebay, still in its original antistatic bag, including desiccant bag and the paper sleeve head protector. I plan to remove the smaller hexagonal stand-offs, to lower the KryoFlux board.
Show us your setup and show us where the units are being used.
