Track 0 retry problem on flippy drive

Post by Harry »

I noticed a minor problem with a flippy modified drive:

When KF decides to retry track 0 side 0 at a flippy read, stepping outside to track -1 to realign the head wont work. Thus you must specify an even retry count with DTC in such a case (eg -t2), so the last innerwards stepping try is successful.
This problem occurs eg with SEGA disks for the Atari 800 (Spy Hunter, Super Zaxxon) (afair).
Could you please fix this?

With kind regards,
Harry.

Yes, it's a known problem.
The track 0 signal only seems to be correctly working when stepping out, ie towards track 0. Will see if there is anything that can be done.
