Have you planned to support D64 writing in future?

Some guys asked for it already at Finnish forums and I believe there are plenty of people out there who want to write D64 as well. Maybe it helps to sell few units more ;)

*Interest* too. Would make creating demo disks tailored for exhibition purposes way easier. Much less hassle than keeping an x1541 cable plus drive around.

I'm also interested. Even nicer if the flipside can also be written.

As I wrote in the other thread: I'd like to qualify my interest by saying it might make more sense for the main active kryoflux programmers to invest the time in a good documentation of the IPF format. That way other people could then write converters. But of course it's up to you.

As for IPF... The source has been released and is fully documented. This won't save you the "magic" of analysing data to create IPFs.

Keir's code, to be found in the software development subforums takes several shortcuts, e.g. completely leaving out detection of integrity or authenticity, but should work fine for the formats supported natively.

Due to popular request, we are currently adding extended D64 support (error map), and direct generation of G64 as well.

D64 will be considered for the upcoming formats supported for writing.
