Look harder for firmware.bin

Post by Darkstar »

It seems DTC expects firmware.bin to be in the current working directory.
It would probably be a good idea to also look in the directory of the EXE file. I tend to launch DTC from a different directory and I always forget that the first time I want to dump something I have to be in the directory where DTC.exe is because of the firmware file

That is a good suggestion, and in fact will be helpful for the user interface (in development) also. I'll see if it can get added to the list.

Second vote for this. So far, I'm using the Linux command line tool. Simply adding a new option to specify the firmware location would suffice to start with.

Actually you can store the firmware file as /usr/local/share/dtc/firmware.bin and dtc will find it there...
