Which Windows app you are referring to would make use of data coming off 5.25" disks?

I want to be very clear: floppy disks are dying. It makes absolutely no sense having realtime access from Windows to ancient media. Even just opening a Window might lead to the creation of all these hidden items needed for trashes and icons and might already render something worth preserving useless.

I understand someone would want to pull drivers or create a boot disk, but then again... that could be done with KF as it is today.

The SuperCard Pro and HxC fFloppy emulator existe .
There is a place for Kryoflux FDC replacement I think. (But only "retro users" will use it of course...how many are they???).
When you take a look , a few peaple look for usb 3.5&5.25 replacement.
It depend if it is difficult to do ... but some peaple may buy kryoflux just for that (maybe.....)
