Hello,
My Kryoflux arrived this morning and I've been trying to install it all day.

The problem is that when I connect the USB cable, a red LED comes on but the board isn't seen.
There is no sound from the computer to say something has been connected and nothing changes in the device manager (i.e. no new entries with any of the names discussed in the various posts on this forum.

I have tried a Windows 10 laptop (upgraded from 7), a Windows 10 desktop (HP DC7800 SFF upgraded from win 7 that I have been using to image floppies with SAMDISK and FDC) and an older Windows 7 laptop I found under the couch.

None of these computers see the KF board at all. I can only assume something is wrong with the KF board.

Any pointers?

Thanks,

-B-

Since the factory has a procedure they follow, it seems hard to believe it was closed. Maybe you accidentally closed it because it was open?

Just as a heads up Team Kryoflux, I received my Kryoflux board yesterday and had the same issue as -B-, the test jumper was closed in its shipped state, so it was not recognized as a device until that was removed.

Okay, thanks for letting us know. Maybe it fell off and was just out back into place (wrongly) when packing it into the small antistatic pouch.

I received my KF yesterday and went through all the pain when trying to install it on my Win10 Prof system (system doesn´t ask for a driver, just installs the bloody Bossa device). Now I found this thread and will try to proceed with the hints in here, but I wonder: In order not to confuse newbies like me, shouldn´t the official documents be updated and the existing quick start guides be removed from the box, as they give incorrect directions?

The document does indeed need an update on how to get things up and running on Win 10 as smoothly as possible.
