TEAC FD-505 5.25"/3,5" Kombidrive is working. 81 Tracks.
I can only test 3.5 Amiga disks, 5.25 disks I have not there.

also my Teac FD-505 is working (looks as if there were different models of this drive, I attach some pics)
maxtrack=81 on both 3,5" and 5,25"
flippy mod seems not possible, as there is not enough room.
manual flipped disks are not readable, as the drive will not spin up with the disk inserted reversed
tested with the following disks:
3,5" 1,44MB HD MS-DOS
3,5" 720kB DD MS-DOS
3,5" 880kB DD Amiga
3,5" 280kB single sided HP86B
5,25" 1,2 MB HD MS-DOS
5,25" 360kB MS-DOS
5,25" 165kB single sided Commodore 64 / Floppy 1541
------
Alps DF354G(121F) 3,5" drive:
maxtrack=83
tested with the same 3,5" disks as above

Strange the list states that the Sony MPF-920 has only 82 tracks, must be a different revision than mine, which stops at 83 (really 84).

Yes, there are different models of MPF-920. Can't remember if it had Z after the model on those drives that can step up to 83.

Mine is just an MPF-920, manufactured in July of 2009, just in case you were wondering.

My MPF920-L only steps up to track 81, so yeah, it must have changed with some revision.

Could you handle PS/2 type (power included) I/F FDD?
I have Sony MP-F40W-25 (34 pins only, no 4 pin power header).
