My 5.25" drives that work with KryoFlux:

- TEAC FD-55BR (360 kB) - this drive works but it has track 0 shifted: track 0 = track 2 on the disk (and so on...)
- Mitsumi D503V (360 kB drive, built into Atari XF551 disk drive) - works great but if want to dump any Atari 8-bit disk you will get even tracks only (tested with copy-protected "Tactic" game by Sonix Software but it has the same results with any Atari 8-bit's single, enhanced and double density disk). I think that it results from the fact that DTC is adapted to operate with 80-tracks drives mainly.

It would be great if DTX.exe would have a switch that will enforce reading of every single track on 40-tracks drives like this Mitsumi D503V with 0, 0a, 3a and 4a image types (ie. -tr40 switch). :)

Yes, of course. Mitsumi D503V has CM: maxtrack=41 (using DTC -c2 command) but DTC shows in the logs below that maxtrack is 83. :?

It works :) but it produces correct .XFD image file with -i3a image type ONLY (not with -i0 or -i0a). I use a8rawconv by Avery Lee to convert .raw files to .ATX image but it can convert track 0 only despite correctly displayed tracks during reading by DTC.

a8rawconv shows that it can not find any sectors on tracks from 1 to 39. :(

Below are both logs from DTC and a8rawconv plus an archive with dump of "Najemnik" game by Krysal (I attached some dummy tracks from 40 to 83 owing to the requirements of a8rawconv).

-i0 does not produce any image file.
It instructs DTC to save the data read from a track into a stream file.
You should never use -i0a unless you have very good reasons to do so.

If I had to guess why a8rawconv is not working, it would be not finding the expected track files.

I think that a8rawconv assumes that stream files were dumped with 96tpi drive, not 48tpi (ie. my Mitsumi D503V): ---> http://atariage.com/forums/topic/231835 ... try3189926

I found that DTC generates .XFD files (-i3a and -i4a) with redundant data at the end of file (created from non-protected disks) due to use of 48tpi drive. .XFD FM disk should have 92160 bytes, MFM - 133120 bytes. DTC currently doubles file size: viewtopic.php?t=127#p827

As Farb wrote, it would be great to add support for 48tpi drives in DTC. :)

Did you know you can cut the output image to any number of tracks...?
Just use -os and -oe parameters, the track numbers specified with them are inclusive.
These must be set before the image type e.g. -os0 -oe39 -i3a
