It is impossible to read any 80 track disk with such drive, or dumping all tracks/half-tracks of 40 tracks systems using 80 tracks drive mechanisms, e.g. C64, Apple II.
So to clarify - are you saying that a 360K drive can not (usually) read C64 disks? As I managed to make D64 images with my Qumetrac 142 drive...

It can, but it cannot read the half-tracks.

Some early computers used 80 tracks drive mechanisms, but only ever used every second track for normal data storage; one such system was the C64. However protection data can be written to and read from the unused tracks - commonly referred as half-tracks.

For your personal disks using only the standard format it does not matter, for preservation of originals it does.

Yes, your link confirms it's 48 tpi only.
