Hello,

I bought a KryoFlux Personal Edition Premium and a Samsung-321B. Unfortunately I am not able to get the kryoflux up and running. This is what I tested:

No PDU plugged in
- Plug in the floppy (with amiga game) to the kryoflux and the kryoflux to the USB (driver already installed)
- I am able to see that the yellow and the green is blinking alternatly
- Used the "DTC.exe -c2" command
- Received the error message:

Code: Select all

Control command rejected by the device
CN: maxtrack=0
PDU plugged in
- Plug in the floppy (with amiga game) to the kryoflux and the kryoflux to the USB (driver already installed) and then the PDU
- I am able to see that the yellow and the green is blinking alternatly
- Used the "DTC.exe -c2" command
- I am able to see that the drive is blinking green
- Received the error message:

Code: Select all

Control command rejected by the device
CN: maxtrack=0
- Use the "DTC.exe -i5" command
- I see the copyright information and the information that no disk is in drive

I already checked entries in this forum where the error message was described but nobody descripted that the "Control command rejected by the devices" was displayed even when the PDU was not plugged in.

After the first issue with the floppy drive this is my second device I have tested with the same error.

It would be fine to know which OS you are using...

Maybe one of the hints in this thread may help:

If the drive lights up but you don't see any further reaction on the drive, I'd recommend checking the drive and its power. If you have another drive I'd recommend swapping for a quick test...

I am not only see the light I hear noices like a rotating disk. The power supply is the PDU delivered with the kryoflux.

I used the floppy drive mentioned in viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1668 with a cable directly from an amiga. Therefore I used a file to decrease the bulge of the cable. I putted to cable using the wrong direction to the kryoflux. Nothing happened when I use the dtc command with parameter -c2.

Unfortunately I only bought two drives so I don't have another drive.

By PDU you probably mean the PSU? It usually also comes with a floppy cable when you get the premium package, so why did you use a different cable? It might as well be the floppy cable. Also, is this a standard PC drive you are using? You mention a Samsung-321B, but what is the secondary drive you are using?

Let me quickly describe the situation:

(1) I used a Samsung SFD-321B with the cable from the premium package

(2) I used a Amiga cable and use a file to decrease the bulge of the cable because the floppy drive Mitsumi D353M3D had the notch for the cable on the wrong side (please have a look at viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1668 where you can see the picture.

I didn't want to manipulate (file the bulge) the cable that was in the premium package.

Hi,

good news. I used a new floppy cable. Afterwards I was able to write IPF files to disk.

Thank you very much for help
