Reading MFM disks

Post by tlindner » Mon Jun 03, 2019 4:39 am

I have two kinds of disks I need to read:
1. 9 sector per track, 512 bytes per sector, MFM
2. 18 sectors per track, 256 bytes per sector, MFM
#1 is working for me just fine using the dtc tool:

Code: Select all

dtc -ffile -i4
For number two I get:

Code: Select all

iMac:~ tlindner$ dtc -ffile -i4

I know the disk is good. I wrote it using the vintage system just before as a test. Am I doing something wrong?

Add -z1 before -i4 to set sector size to 256.
