Write image to disk

Post by Benganboll » Fri Mar 22, 2019 9:49 am

I am using kryoflux and a modified Samsung floppy drive to be able to read Japanese 3.5" 360rpm disks.
I use tis line to read the floppy to an image "dtc -ftest.raw -v360 -z3 -e76 -d0 -i4" and it works good to use as an image on a floppy emulator.
But if I want a copy of the floppy, how do I write the image back on floppy?

If the disks are written in the original system starting from the index sensor position they can be written back from the raw stream files as is.

If the original system doesn't care about the index then it might be possible to use HxC Floppy software to convert the disk image as KryoFlux raw stream files and then try writing those back to a disk.

Edit: Index.. Meant to say care about the index.

Hmm, I was wondering what syntax I would use to write the image to disk.

DTC -w -frawstreamfile (add option -we2 to the parameters to force wiping the disk before writing if necessary).
