Dumping of generic MFM with HD 5.25"

Post by Darkstar »

After successfully dumping some DD disks now I tried with a few HD disks, however, they all come back as "unformatted".
Probably the drive needs adjustment, I haven't touched it in *ages*. Will check in a normal PC now to see if it works there.

I still have another drive somewhere, just need to find it :)

Could just need correct setting of sectors and/or speed. Will check tomorrow and let you know.

You might want to experiment with these:

DTC -v360 -i4

DTC -z3 -i4

Also try combining them...

Ah, it seems -v360 did the trick.

Feel free to move these 3 posts to a different thread... well... you already did. thanks :)

Sure. That's why we're here.

It's still command line only, but as you see... we dump with pride! ;)
