After some misspostings and search, I finally stumbled across this thread. I got exactly the same problem. Macbook Pro running 10.11 ElCapitan, with Java 8 (also tested 9) and updated DTC crashes right away, when trying to access the hardware via USB. So how do I find out what driver is interfering here and how to I get rid off it? Right now I am about to run a Backup and do a clean install, but would love to avoid it, if possible... any help and suggestion is very welcome.
Thanks.

Mac: USB endpoint not found
Re: Mac: USB endpoint not found
I just did a clean install of ElCapitan and only installed Java (8) and the Kryoflux software and it stays the same. Hard reset, with Kernel Panic. Could you guys please take a look at this topic?
Here is the crash report:
I will try and downgrade to 10.10 or something and hope that this will work out.
thanks.

BTW: Please don't double post.mr.vince wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2018 3:00 pm Since DTC does not do anything on the kernel level, it's technically impossible to crash the machine. There's some kernel driver doing this. Unless there's an old KryoFlux.kext (kernel extension) in the extensions folder, something else crashes, and DTC just "enforces" this by loading the firmware onto the device, which enumerates and the triggers whatever there is which crashes your system.

I'm getting the same error now on MacOS Mojave, 10.14.3. Does version v2.62, 2016-08-28 work with MacOS Mojave?

Re: Mac: USB endpoint not found
yes, I'm running into the same problem. It shows as an Atmel communication device. I have no idea how to stop MacOS from doing that
Re: Mac: USB endpoint not found
Funnily... when I run my Windows 10 VM and then have it connect to the Atmel Modem USB device I suddenly have a working Kryoflux again in OS X, until I disconnect the USB again...
So in the VM I have the bossa device, change the drivers to Kryoflux and run dtc -c2 in the VM. This changes the Atmel Modem to a "Atmel KryoFlux DiskSystem" in Fusions USB device detection. When I disconnect that from the VM (not the Mac) the KryoFlux works again in Mojave.
But when I disconnect the USB cable from the Mac I have to do all the steps again (including installing the right drivers for the bossa device).

Re: Mac: USB endpoint not found
Me too, and no, 2.62 does not work. Is there any way to fix this other than polluting the computer with VMWare or getting a Windows-Machine? Mac OS is a (basically) auto-updated system, its not like you keep old osx-versions around or can downgrade as you like (and you actually don't want to...). I mean, if thousands of other USB-devices work, why is there trouble with Kryoflux in the first place? No offense meant, just curious about the underlying technical issue.

From what I understand Apple are good at breaking things that work in order to put in more bells and whistles. I asume this causes headaches for developers as they need to constantly update their software. As you say above, hardly any Mac user stays on an old version of the OS as there is no point. Unless you run certain hardware or software that will never get updated again.
The MacOs version of KryoFlux needs updating to acomódate these changes. Finders crossed they can find the time. Mac users are few but I'm sure where all in the same boat. No Windows hardware.
Cheers,
Rob

Re: Mac: USB endpoint not found
So, my "workaround" was snatching my son's 2011 Macbook Air which can only run as high as High Sierra (10.13.6 is installed). Kryoflux works fine here. So old Mac-Hardware (2011 and older) might be a viable option, e.g. another alternative might be an older mac mini.

Re: Mac: USB endpoint not found
Yes. It runs fine on High Sierra it’s Mojave where it does not work. The dev team needs to update it.
