Alright, here comes a GUI for Windows, which, although it was done by me, is no official KryoFlux product. It does not follow the design guidelines, it has not been very well tested and it does not come with the satisfaction guarantee that comes with the code by István or Kieron.

Please treat as something free. It does come without any warranty. It is currently limited to DD only, and it only supports writing up to cylinder 82.

It was done with AutoIt, something that's normally used for installation scripts, but it does what it should, although it's not as fast as it could be if it was done in something more advanced. But hey, it's free!

Please note that this GUI also comes with a slightly revised DTC.exe, which will be released separately shortly. It does support setting precompensation values. This also means that the GUI will have DTC restart eight times for a typical disk, because it will write ten tracks each and then set new precompensation values which it will interpolate between start and end.

Oh, and make sure the disk you are going to write is empty. Or treat it as empty.

To install, copy the archive contents to your DTC directory.

EDIT: See last post for current version.

PS: Wilde Wutz is a German idiom which stands for wild boar, meaning something happens with the raving speed and precision of a wild boar. You get the idea... ;)

So this will only write low-density IPFs for now, or will it write anything else?

ADFs.

If you would want to write HD disks, you will manually need to adjust precompensation patterns.

Get the update; extract to DTC folder. Replace older file if present.

This version needs DTC 2.0 b14.

I hacked this together overnight; it for sure will have some major bugs here and there. PLEASE do read the DTC manual for parameters, especially DD/HD mode. If you set the wrong mode, 5.25" DD disks will not work properly.

EDIT: See last post for current version.

You are German?

Dann bedanke ich mich für diese tolle GUI. :) Persönlich brauche ich es für ADF Images, aber ich bin mir sicher, dass dieses Tool für weitere DTC-Versionen ausbaufähig ist.

Uhm, yes, thanks, but let's keep it international for the others to understand, too.

I've prepared a new version that fixes some stuff and adds some stuff. Enjoy.

Please note that bias and wiping settings do not work in 0.4; won't be fixed, as 0.5 is due which will require new 2.0b15 DTC. Some nice features coming up. :)
