Avira antivirus complained about Wilde Wutz containing TR/Dropper.A.25582.
EDIT: Ahh... It's made with AutoIT - some virus-programs tend to dislike that, 5/54 at least.
WildeWutz - writing GUI
Re: WildeWutz - writing GUI
Yeah, they should fix these false positives.
I just wanted to deliver proof that batch usage of KF was straightforward and hence took the cheapest approach. You could use C++ or C# but even an extension made for installers does the job.

Avira antivirus 2014.9.0.2021 reports WildeWutz v0.7 as High severity menace Win32:Malware-Gen
Re: WildeWutz - writing GUI
Just reported to Avast as false positive. Hope this will help
Re: WildeWutz - writing GUI
Well, tells about the quality of their engine/data files. Just because it's authored with a _standard_ component (AutoIt) not every program made with it is evil.
I would fix this if I could, but don't see how this would work...

Hey, I like the interface. it's very easy for me to use.
Are you able to do something similar for reading disks as well? I have a bit of difficulty using the main kryoflux java gui program.
btw: not sure if it is display on the screen or not, but my screen reader reports a strange piece of text which says "I have no mouth, and I must scream!"

Re: WildeWutz - writing GUI
WildeWutz is a "hack". It was never intended to become something productive, especially because it's platform locked to Windows, hence it does not fulfill our own expectations of something "pro". We have no plans of doubling this for reading. It is more likely we will abandon it once writing has been put into the official GUI. This was never planned but...
Did you try to Google the strange quote you found?

Re: WildeWutz - writing GUI
I'm using version 0.7 and when I try to load and write a RAW file to a floppy, the progress bar never moves and nothing gets written. Any tips? The Kryoflux program calibrates the 5.25" HD disk drive OK so I know it's connected properly.

Microsoft Defender also flags it as a virus. I had to add it to the list of ignored programs.mr.vince wrote:Well, tells about the quality of their engine/data files. Just because it's authored with a _standard_ component (AutoIt) not every program made with it is evil.

Can't debug with more info, e.g. from the log.
As for MS Defender... what can I say... crappy detection engine. The program definitely is virus-free. I'd like to see the malicious code.
