Should I even bother submitting this??
As you can see, the disk surface is actually gone. Got a few tracks that read OK, but as you can probably guess, most are completely unreadable. Should I waste their time even submitting this dump? In case your curious, I wasn't aware of the severity of the issue until repeated dumps got nowhere. Took the disk out, with thoughts of trying to clean the surface when I saw the real problem

Re: Should I even bother submitting this??
Depends... what is on the disk?
Re: Should I even bother submitting this??
Sorry, was Blue Max by Synapse. It had Blue Max 2001 on the back side (IIRC.) Numbered disk too (Disk No 4679.) Don't know if that's significant or not.
Re: Should I even bother submitting this??
Luckily that's not needed.
The Disk No is just something you'd find all Synapse releases.
Given how the disks looks it may be worthwhile checking whether the drive head got dirty and clean it... unless you've already done that.

Yep, cleaned the head as soon as I saw the disk. Don't know how much (if any,) of the surface medium ended up on them. Blue Max was one of my favorite games too. I guess it's back to trolling eBay for another copy

You could as well play with a clone or replace the platter and write a fresh clone on it with KryoFlux.
