*bump*

I recently won the bid on the 3-disk FM TOWNS version of Asuka 120% BURNING Fest. Can I borrow the KryoFlux with a 3.5 inch floppy drive just so I can preserve this rare game?

Would be easier to send the disks to someone, like SPS, to do the preservation for you!

I heard that preservation societies are not a wise choice. I don't know why. Anyone have the KryoFlux I can either borrow or hand you the game that needs to be dumped?

Its not a matter of hardware nut of knowledge, especially if the game is copy-protected. The preservation societies have both to create a proper ipf...

It's SPS that built the KryoFlux... I am sure there is always something people can disagree about. The easiest thing would be finding a working setup nearby and get the disk there. As brightcaster outlined, there's tech & knowledge. Both together create great dumps.

Okay, are there different road addresses to different workers or who should I send the disks to exactly?

Unfortunately, they can't respond to me anymore. I might as well find someone in the U.S. that uses a KryoFlux very well.

There's always PM to make sure someone gets the message. :) I have been away for vac when you wrote that message.

So, please PM me your address and we'll find someone for you to send your disks to.

if anyone in Spain (i live in Canary Islands) needs dumping, i'll do for free, just sent me disks and returning postage and i'll dump it

i have 5 1/4 and 3 1/2 drives,

small collections of course, i don't want to scan other person 10000 disks :D

I decided to get two official copies and send them to the founder. But it's been several days since I last contacted them. I am ignorant of the address.
