FM Towns dumping

Post by 1983parrothead » Sun Jun 16, 2013 11:30 pm

Has anyone ever dumped FM Towns floppy disks using KryoFlux? I have someone trying to dump these FM Towns games:

Columns and Asuka 120% BURNING Fest.

He is known by the user name Denymentanol, and he doesn't have enough money to purchase a KryoFlux for dumping these very sought after titles. Can anyone support us?

Not sure if there is anyone nearby... UK, Germany, Finland are certainly possible if the disks can be posted.

Should he mail them? He isn't responding to me and Asuka 120% BURNING Fest. is a 3 disk game.

The reason why he isn't responding to me is that he said:

"sorry but no money for this, asuka project was unsuccessfull and can danger finally like my poor colummns for towns and i don´t want damage asuka , sorry man, but i´m stucked and bored and depressed, excuse me :("

If he continues to not respond, then my only choices are to either get someone else to find it in Japan or wait a long period of time for it to appear here and bid on it:

That's already been dumped by Denymentanol. It's the "Excellent" version. Denymentanol has the original. Contact him through YouTube.

Hmmm, I was under the impression that you were looking for this. I'm certainly not (I never heard of it until now), I just wanted to help by pointing out that there's currently a Yahoo! auction running, since you said you wanted to buy it.

I would take a look next time I'm in Japan (maybe later this year, or early 2014) but I've never even once seen a shop there that sells these old FMTowns games (except maybe for Akihabara Gamers and even they have only very limited FMTowns stock I think)

Hmmm, okay, but if I have to buy it, I'll have to ask my parents. They'll most likely not let me buy it, because I once purchased Fire Emblem: Fuuin no Tsurugi on eBay from a Japan auctioneer, and it never came. My goal is to play the original FM Towns version of Asuka 120% BURNING Fest. before proceeding with the later titles in the franchise, as well as ripping its background music.

The front cover found on the Wikipedia article is what it looks like, but make sure it has "FM Towns" written on it:

*bump*

I found more people owning an official copy of the game, but they don't think the KryoFlux will work, while they probably can't afford it. They probably live in the U. S..
