Pulsar Little Big Board (6000 Format) CP/M dump

Post by clemfm »

After studying this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=853&p=7751&hilit=dtc+l+mask#p7751

I am using:
dtc -d0 -r5 -fLBB001.raw -i0 -fLBB001.img -n+17 -v300 -i4 -s0 -e76 -oe76 -dd1 > log.txt

However, I have now tried 3 disks which I am certain are not blank or '<unformatted>' (or at least they were not unformatted 25 years ago... :? ), and my logs all look like this whilst the .img file is zero bytes in length, whilst the stream files total about 50MB per disk:

00.0 : frev: 66846, drift: 1.315 us, tfer: 379120 B/s, rpm: 357.630
00.0 : band: 2.389 us, 3.589 us, 4.791 us
00.0 : base: 0.897 us [52.070%], band: 3.589 us
00.0 : MFM: <unformatted>
00.1 : frev: 50739, drift: 81.782 us, tfer: 289876 B/s, rpm: 357.630
00.1 : band: 2.434 us, 3.771 us, 4.664 us, 6.100 us, 7.492 us
00.1 : base: 2.033 us [95.350%], band: 3.771 us, 6.100 us, 7.492 us
00.1 : MFM: <unformatted>

From Disk22, the drive definition is (I cannot run Disk22 at present, Google found this):
Pulsar 6000 Format - 5.25" DSHD (or 8" DSDD) 1.298 megabyte capacity
ROTATION = 300RPM (on a Mitsubishi M4854 or similar 5.25inch 360 or 300 speed selecting AT floppy drive)
DENSITY = MFM,HIGH
CYLINDERS = 77
SIDES = 2
SECTORS = 17,512
SIDE1 0 order = 1,4,7,10,13,16,2,5,8,11,14,17,3,6,9,12,15
SIDE2 1 order = 1,4,7,10,13,16,2,5,8,11,14,17,3,6,9,12,15
ORDER = CYLINDERS before SIDES
BSH = 4
BLM = 15
EXM = 0
DSM = 646
DRM = 192
AL0 = 0E0H AL1 = 0
Offset for system tracks = 2

I gather either the disk have lost all data with time or I am missing something?

That 300 RPM sounds wrong. Did you try -v360?
