The CRC can't match as the raw data you are processing (German version) does not match the raw data of the original dump (English version).

From what I see the game uses two modified AmigaDOS tracks with sync marks a145 and a144, but just from looking at the name.

Sadly it was not the german version as first suspected - it is the english version, too.

But the guy the dump is from said he propably have the german version in his office.
if we get a dump, we will upload it to the server.

The purpose of the IPX file is to document how a release was exactly created from a CTR file, so the IPF is always reproducible/verifiable.
Therefore, CTA must warn the user if the source image does not match the original image that was used.

As for the protection: you can check the format/block/data descriptor to see what it does.
Just righ-click on Format: ... on the tree-view, then confirm your format choice in the list that appears, by pressing Select. You get to the Format descriptor and from there you can navigate to the Block and Data descriptors.
Make sure you have a backup of all CTA data files before you do that - it's easy to modify a format...
