Re: Should I even bother submitting this??

Sorry, was Blue Max by Synapse. It had Blue Max 2001 on the back side (IIRC.) Numbered disk too (Disk No 4679.) Don't know if that's significant or not.

Should I even bother submitting this??

As you can see, the disk surface is actually gone. Got a few tracks that read OK, but as you can probably guess, most are completely unreadable. Should I waste their time even submitting this dump? In case your curious, I wasn't aware of the severity of the issue until repeated dumps got nowhere. To...

Re: Please use: info files / dump scripts when submitting du

What is your system? Scripts are not needed at all but might be useful. If you are planning to submit dumps you should submit ticket on SPS site. Dumping of the disks is not recommended before test dump is submitted and checked (to make sure that your drive alignment is in order). Camera is importa...

Re: Please use: info files / dump scripts when submitting du

Oh great :( 246 dumps and not one done correctly. Well, back to the starting board it seems. Going to have to edit the batch files too, as a rather large number of my disks aren't 80 track disks. They're good enough for my personal archive, I'm sure, but I'm planning on submitting them as well. Will...

How backed up is SPS?

Not trying to cast a wet blanket on anything, but am sort of curios how backed up SPS has become since Kryoflux went live? With the broad range of systems that can have dumps collected for, and I'm sure the massive ton of submissions they've been receiving, I can't help but wonder how busy they've b...

Flippy Disks with no Index...

Ok, I cannot seem to figure out how to get DTC to fake the index signal, or do I need to get the drive to do it? Is there a way to tell it to try with no index signal? Without playing move the platter, or hole punch the disk cover (my own idea, but I don't really want to do it,) how do I read the di...

Re: Dumping 2-sided C64 disks

Just out of curiosity, How dangerous (to the media) would it be to take a plastic hole punch, and carfully slide it to where a second index hole would be located, and punching a hole through the floppy cover (would have to do it twice, once on each side as you wouldn't want to punch a hole through t...
