Re: Recreated disk does not match source
The problem comes from the drive speed. The original disk was written with a 288 RPM drive. Your drive is 300 RPM. The speed doesn't match. The kryoflux system doesn't control the motor speed of the floppy drive, basically, with a 300 RPM drive to write a disk normally written with a 288 RPM drive, ...

Re: Amstard FD-1 & Kryoflux for dumping Spectrum +3 disks
There is a script to use, because every dump made for CPC or Spectrum has to be uploaded with the informations relative to itself for preservation.
It's a file *.BAT called DoDumpCPC.bat
This script is available on the forum to download.

Re: Help with damaged floppy disk
But, this is very easy to mess up: - Opening the plastic case means you WILL break the connections that hold the case together. In itself, it's not a problem. Touching the cookie can easily damage it. Don't scratch it with the tool you use to open the case. My advice : use an average sized screwdri...

Re: Writing Rick Dangerous IPFs
Is there something special needed to write back Rick Dangerous 1 & 2 for Amiga? I have tried with: - Sony MPF920 - Sony MPF920-E - Teac FD-235HF These drives successfully write many titles and they boot and are playable on the A500. Rick Dangerous 1 (SPS 2294) never boots, ends up with No disk ...

Re: former used commandline not working anymore?
can you confirm me guys that the firmware shipped inside the kryoflux v2.51 is the slow one ? Because the firmware fast doesn't work on amstrad CPC drive. The stepping is not good. I remember in 2010 that the slow firmware proposed to download allowed me to dump CPC floppies. Is it always available ...

Re: write back stream file
As i explained to you, 1.2mb HD 5"1/4 drives rotate at 360 RPM.
The disk you want to write was written on a regular 5"1/4 360kb drive rotating at 300 RPM.
you need a 5"1/4 360kb double sided drive rotating at 300 RPM in order to write back the game.

Re: Track/Side Selection when Writing?
Hello, i second that too. I use the command under windows :
dtc -g1 -fnameofthegame_sideB.ipf -w -s0 -e41
I confirm it's always side 0 which got written and not side 1.
