Re: Skinnable Kyroflux GUI ?

No, that is great feedback, and we hadn't thought of it. There are several emerging UI toolkits on the horizon that take some of the pain away of doing the drawing and animation yourself, as well as making it a lot easier to do resolution-independent graphics. They work a little like the way a 3D sc...

Re: Skinnable Kyroflux GUI ?

Nice idea. The UI is skinnable now, of a sort. But you'll need to be able to create Java Look & Feel's to be able to do it, and that is not easy, and requires programming. As it happens, there are some new technologies that should become available in the next year that we are planning to take advant...

Re: Kryoflux in the Oldenburger Computer-Museum

That is fantastic. I saw the kit for the ZX81 on eBay the other day for the first time... I didn't realise you did basically everything, I'd have loved to have done that (though probably killed it in the process knowing me). Thanks though, if I ever have a holiday in Germany, I will remember your of...

Is that a ZX81 I see there? That system holds a special place in my heart... being my first computer :)

Re: WebCam / batch processing =)

Neat idea. I'm not really sure how to control a webcam, but I 'll look into it. I can't say when though unfortunately, we have quite a big list of stuff to get done...

Re: Mac OS X support is go!

You're right of course. We should make more noise about releases. In fact, I still see people talking about KryoFlux being "command line only". We have been toying with the idea of setting up a blog on the main site... Maybe that will help a bit? (if only for the RSS feed) The big thing for this rel...

Re: Stream file layout documented ?

I think that makes us the exact opposite of disheartened :)

We thought thing thing would be useful, indeed we made it to satisfy our own requirements at SPS, but we did not quite expect for it to take off quite the way it has...

Re: Stream file layout documented ?

Close-ish. It's simple logically... but there are some reasons why decoding is a little more complicated than you might think. I should say that the STREAM files are not really intended to get broad support. DRAFT is intended to be the standard format. The stream files are not a format, as you proba...

Definitely. The worst case was probably Giana Sisters - that took us years and a considerable amount of money buying modified versions to find...

Very neat! I need to get myself something like this, the arm of my sofa is not so great :)
