Re: KryoFlux UI: Where are image profiles stored?

That is a good idea.

Okay, how about we keep the image profile data in a file in the user's home directory. You could then copy it where you need, or check it in to your VCS.

The data is XML, so should be easy to diff btw.

Re: KryoFlux UI: Where are image profiles stored?

You should be able to right-click the com/kryoflux key, and then use "export" from the menu. This should give you a .reg file to take to the other machines (you can double-click it to import it into their registry).

Re: GUI not usable, problems with drive communication

The user interface tries to protect drives by not imaging past the track that DTC think it is capable of seeking to in calibration. Unfortunately, in your case what seems to have happened is, because the calibration failed, the user interface got the message "the drive is capable of dumping up to tr...

...which has a fixed version of the GUI which *now* does what I said above, as it didn't previously work with the Linux version just released. Thanks to Malvineous for pointing out the problem!

Re: GUI improvement - combine/reduce the tabs

I guess that you implicit means the "Winblows" version ? No, actually the GUI works with any version of DTC, be it on Linux, Mac and Windows (I use a Mac to work on it). If you download the latest version from kryoflux.com, it should use whatever Linux version you have installed (just uses the curr...

Re: GUI improvement - combine/reduce the tabs

Been meaning to mention this for a while, but this feature has been implemented, and should be in the latest public version.

Re: 5"25 floppies with 16 index holes

I think we are still trying to get hold of samples to support hard-sectored disks - unfortunately we've not managed to get hold of any yet. I would guess it probably wouldn't work without specific support.

Re: Corrupted images?

I'd basically echo what TeaRex has said. Since you seemed to have tried other disks, trying a different drive is your best bet. One other possibility - is it possible those disks you tried were all written with the same misaligned drive? In that case, unless you have that original drive, you are pro...

Re: Writing Amiga IPF's

Yes, writing will be supported in the GUI. May take a while though, since we're going to slightly redesign the layout first.
