Re: KryoFlux User Interface Changes

Good, I'm glad you find it useful. Yeah, we need a shortcut screen! Actually, that is in the development version, we should finish that off. :) There may be a couple of other minor things, but this and the release thread has nearly everything I think. [Edit, ah you are after general usage docs? We d...

Re: How do I get the KryoFlux software to work.

Yes, you need to install the drivers to get the winusb.dll installed. That's a Microsoft DLL. Maybe you can find it elsewhere somewhere, and just stick it in the same directory as DTC. The user interface needs Java. So you will need to install that first. Once you have done that, double-clicking the...

Re: GUI Problems On OSX 10.5.8

Well, I am afraid to say that we don't currently have a command line build for PPC, and the GUI has a dependency on the command line version. As far as Java is concerned though, AFAIK there is no official Java 6 (the minimum currently needed) for PPC Mac. However, you might be able to get an unoffic...

Re: questions about image profiles

Yes, the default image profiles in the GUI are only different in the "image type" - anything else you need to change yourself.

In the GUI, you need to change the track distance to 40 in the image profile settings screen.

Re: using kryoflux gui without driver installed

Okay, here are ones extracted from a Windows 7 box. The winusb.dll was in windows/system32 and the winusb64.dll (named as winusb.dll too) was in the wow64 folder. Try sticking them in the same folder as the kryoflux-ui.jar and DTC.exe files. I am not sure if they will work for you or not, but worth ...

Re: using kryoflux gui without driver installed

That's right, select "Stream Files" from the drive menu, and when you press "Start" you will be prompted for your stream file directory. I have tried this without the driver being installed, and it does work, but only after I put winusb.dll in the same directory (which I had to take from a system wi...

Re: Looking for info about copy protection used in Australia

I did the same. I cringe at the thought of it now. As a teenager, I sold a large batch of earlier Amiga games for very little money, just because I wanted some money to buy a new game or two. Some of them were pretty unusual, so I bet a few are still needed by SPS. Crying shame, but it happens - esp...

Re: GUI not usable, problems with drive communication

A new version of the GUI has been released that allows you to override the "max track" calibration result, rather than having to dig into the registry or other OS-specific mechanism to change it.
