Is there something wrong with this disk?

Hi. this disk images fine with kryoflux, but for a few quirks. the game will not load past track 17 on my c128d with inbuilt drive, but it reads with my 1541 and Kryoflux. I've never had a disk trip up like this on track 17 in my commodore 128d before. Secondly, there is a problem with Kf being able...

Re: I think my Power supply has bitten the dust.

Whew. what a relief! it was the molex connector not the PSU. Turns out one of the wires have come loose.
Oh well, the new PSU from Sydney arrived yesterday. if the old one dies, at least I've got a spare. My friend is bringing me a new cable with new connector from work on the weekend.

Re: I think my Power supply has bitten the dust.

Yes, you maybe right, come to think of it,I was actually attaching the molex connector at the time and the plug went in a bit crookedly and thats when everything stopped. Oh well, Lesson learned, connect external power box to drive via molex first, and then turn power on. Box has been ordered from a...

Re: I think my Power supply has bitten the dust.

the strange thing is, that I was busy with other things and for a couple of weeks now, I haven't been using my KF. Everything was disconnected, the drive, the power supply, the KF board from the USB connection, everything. But yesterday when I plugged everything in, it made the buzzing noise for a s...

I think my Power supply has bitten the dust.

Hi there. is it usual for power supplies to just suddenly die with no warning? My drive seems to have suddenly stopped and sncboom2k thinks the power supply might be on the blink. I've tried disconnecting everything and just connecting the drive to the power supply and plugging it in, but the drive ...

Re: multiple densities on one track

I know of some software and games that make use of this as a form of copy protection.
Legend of the black hole, Franky crashed on Jupiter, chess master 2100, Kwikwrite and mainframe to name just a few.

multiple densities on one track

Hi there.
I've seem a couple of games, and software on pete's site that check for several densities on the one track.
Does kryoflux support these? can they be played on an emulator or written back out to real hardware and played successfully?
If no, will they ever be supported?
Cheers and thanks.

what to do if you have KF but not nibtools?

Hello there. I was just wondering, if someone had kryoflux but not nibtools and they want to preserve some old c64 disks that aren't originals, IE, some old school work, or whatever, can we still dump the disk and convert it to a g64 even though you get overlapping tracks? will the g64 still work? C...

Re: Kryoflux & Flippy Drive Request

Hello there.
I have also advertised on the lemon forums for people in Australia who don't currently have a KF device who would like their original disks archived. If the demand is high, I'll extend the offer to world wide.
Cheers.

Re: How to get a perfect v-max track 20 dump?

Hi. Here is an example of how a good copy of v-max track 20 should turn out. It can be written back and nibbled with nibtools and the results will be like an original copy. http://users.on.net/whocrazy/goodvmax.rar Note the file contains just track 20, not an entire disk. I thought I'd put it up her...
