Re: conflict in vietnam trouble when writing-reading

At the moment I only have the g64 he made, not the flux stream, sorry. I'll get the stream to you by next week sometime.
The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced DTC is not at fault.

Re: conflict in vietnam trouble when writing-reading

Hello there. On a hunch, I sent my copy of Conflict to sncboom2k, who tried dumping it with his KF and running it on the emulator, then he wrote it back and ran it on his pal c64, it worked, made it all the way to the title screen on both systems. Then he sent me his g64 and I tried doing the same a...

Re: Bad sector on g64 creation but not when dumping

Thanks much for the clarification.
What about the -b and -a command line switches. Does that effect the stream in any way?.
Thanks.

Re: Bad sector on g64 creation but not when dumping

Which leads me to my next question a about specifying which format to use for dumping. If you instead put -i16, or -i2 or -i19 instead of the right one? does that effect the stream in any way? for example, I chose to dump the game like this, just to see what would happen. dtc -p -b-8 -fD:\dumpdir\Ra...

Re: Bad sector on g64 creation but not when dumping

Have you ever seen a case where it turns out that there was indeed a bad sector on a track even though the dumping process didn't report it so? I'll upload the track in question just in case this is true. This game uses the Teque sector format. btw: Can you tell me how you came by the name for this ...

Bad sector on g64 creation but not when dumping

Hi there. Received a sealed disk from Ebay user today called Cosmic Relief, Everything verifies ok during the dumping process, but when the g64 is created, I get a bad sector error. When dumping: 00.0 : CBM TQ: OK*, trk: 001, sec: 11, *C But when converting to g64: 00.0 : CBM TQ: <error>, trk: 001, ...

Re: what does *C, * +1 and * +2 mean?

is this bad? does the missing checksum mean that KF isn't able to make sense of the disk or read the tracks properly? is there anything I can do to prevent this error from happening?
Thanks.

what does *C, * +1 and * +2 mean?

Got a rapidlok v2 dis from an ebay user from the UK today. Tracks 19 through 35 have *C and tracks 17 and 18 have * +1 and * +2 respectively. Is this bad? However The g64 does load successfully in WinVice SPS One thing I would like to add is that track 17 has been written to with a 1541 to save the ...

This one.
for dumping
dtc -p -b-8 -fD:\dumpdir\Raw_Dumps\speedball\speedball_ -i -i2 -y -g2 -i6 -t5 -l8 -dd1
for conversion
dtc -p -m1 -fD:\dumpdir\Raw_Dumps\speedball\speedball_ -i0 -fD:\dumpdir\G64_New\speedball.g64 -y -g2 -k2 -i22a -l8.
