Re: trouble with a compilation disk from Ocean

Ok. here's the second disk. It's just as problematic as the first.
Low density and high density.
Is the problem the same as with disk 1?

Re: how to just dump a 1/2 track?

I mean half tracks, like in bounty bob strikes back.
Is there a way to dump just the first half of the track instead of dumping the whole track, for example, disk_1_10.0.raw instead of both disk_1_10.0.raw and disk_1_10.1.raw.
Thanks.

how to just dump a 1/2 track?

Hi there.
Is there a way that 1 can dump just a 1/2 track instead of dumping the entire track?
Just curious.
Thanks.

Re: trouble with a compilation disk from Ocean

Do you think it could be a bad mastering run?
wonder what would happen if we swapped copies and I tried your copy of m7 on my drive and you tried mine on yours.

Re: trouble with a compilation disk from Ocean

It's very odd, because the *t warning don't happen during the dumping process, like they do with vorpal later and big5, they only show up while converting to g64.

Re: trouble with a compilation disk from Ocean

Hi IFW.
Can you tell me what the trouble is with the flip side of the disk? when you say the disk is bad, does that mean there's a part that needs cleaning that I might have missed? also, on your copy of m7, do you get lots of *ts and g64s with halftracks during the conversion?
Thanks

btw: Can you tell the difference between a misaligned disk and a dirty one? Anyhow, here it is, in the default low density mode. http://users.on.net/whocrazy/m7bootlow.rar High density version http://users.on.net/whocrazy/m7boothigh.rar Even when using this mode, track 5 on side 2 is hit and miss, s...

trouble with a compilation disk from Ocean

Hi there. I am having a tough time with the flip side of a disk from Ocean software, it's a compilation called the magnificent Seven. I gave the boot disk a good clean and then tried running it through KF, but on the flip side, almost every track except 1 through 4 has bad sector errors. I can read ...
