Re: capslib support for stream files ?

Nicolas, not sure if you already agreed it with IFW but one possibility is upload them to softpres FTP. For example KRYOFLUX_TESTDUMPS folder should be fine. Let me know if you do need FTP details.

Request: Hard-sectored disks (5.25) for test material to KF team

Kryoflux team is looking for hard sector floppies (5.25") for test material to improve Kryoflux software support. So far we have heard about 5, 6, 7, 8 and 13 index holes hard sector disks. All kinds of hard sectored disks are welcome but most importantly they should be good working order and run on...

Re: New 8" drive

How about adding a switch to DTC in order to avoid problems with Apple II disks that are often written on hard sectored disks? Apple II doesn't use index holes at all so in that sense support for ignoring hard sectored disks extra holes would be helpful. There can be for example 1, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 13 ...

Re: MFM Decoding Unsectored Disks

now, is there anything i can do to these disks prior to reading? In short: 1. One method is to clean the disk with cotton swabs + water. Such "mold" is easy to clean and usually disk is fully readable after careful cleaning. Problem with cotton swabs is sometimes thin fiber that causes some mess bu...

Re: Please use: info files / dump scripts when submitting du

Oh great :( 246 dumps and not one done correctly. Well, back to the starting board it seems. Going to have to edit the batch files too, as a rather large number of my disks aren't 80 track disks. They're good enough for my personal archive, I'm sure, but I'm planning on submitting them as well. Wil...

Re: C64 dumping

I will submit dumps, just getting used to C64 dumping! When dumping for submission, should I dump all disks using the flippy mode parameters even if the disk only uses 1 side? Yes. Always both sides of the disk. Try c64 dumping script if you like as it helps to produce correct info files and folder...

Re: C64 dumping

Just trying some test dumps of my C64 disks and happened on a flippy disk, The Three Muskeeters! 00.0 : CBM DOS: <error>, trk: 001, sec: 21, bad: 1, *H +15 It might help to clean side 0 (=side B of the real disk as the drive head is below)) of disk with q-tips + IPA. Please bear in mind that some p...
