Re: The CYAN loader

Very nice read and good information there, thanks, SLC! Yes, it could be - though not sure about Who Dares Wins II, as far as I remember dumps we have so far are from the OziSoft version, and those always use a custom disk format and good encryption and were only released in Australia. The company i...

Re: Drives confirmed working with KryoFlux

Is there anybody who has already successfully modified such a Y-E Data YD-380B drive? If not, anyone wanting to have a go with mine? Should be someone who knows what he's doing though... ;-) Oh well, and best would be from Germany or at least from Europe, overseas shipping costs are a true show-stop...

Re: Please use: info files / dump scripts when submitting dumps

Hi all, I have finally finished 3 dumps/scans/info-files as a kind of "reference games" which I would like to upload and have them checked in order to get a feedback if everything is ok the way I did it. Especially concerning the raw-dump-data, of course, but also everything else going with it (for ...

Re: Drives confirmed working with KryoFlux

Got the drive yesterday, but mine unfortunately shows *T warnings for the first 8 tracks (80 tracks mode) on side 1 of a flippy disk... So it looks like it needs modification...

Re: Drives confirmed working with KryoFlux

Just purchased this. I'll let you know if/how it works for me regarding C64 flippy disks without modification.

JanneG or Stanglnator, does any of you guys know how to set this drive to DD-mode?

Re: Drives confirmed working with KryoFlux

Does this also count for the YD-380 or just the YD-380B? Does anyone have an YD-380 and could check that?

Re: Drive makes an awful noise!

Ok, I fixed it. After reading various posts and thinking about it I wanted to find out whether it had something to do with the bypass-circuit. So I removed/rebuilt the changes related to the bypass-circuit in order to put the pcb back into its original condition: Unsoldering the transistor from pins...

Re: Drive makes an awful noise!

Hi Christian, thanks for the fast response. I had the drive head stuck in the negative space below track zero before (e.g. when you start dumping a flippy-disk and the drive door isn't closed), but this time it's definitely a different case, because even when I manually move the r/w-head away from t...

Re: Drive makes an awful noise!

Hi, I have the same exact problem as hyperactive all of a sudden now, it seems... When I finished my last dumping session a couple of days ago, everything was working normally, nothing unexpected when I powered off everything. When I wanted to dump a few disks last night and powered up my Panasonic ...
