Re: Linux Version Stagnant?

Trying the beta version out now - and many thanks to those that worked to get it released! So far, everything seems good on 64-bit Ubuntu - although I've yet to try the shiny new image-writing features. Many thanks to everyone involved - and I hope you've all had a merry Christmas (or "holiday," for...

Re: Problems Dumping Humble Indie Bundle 12 Floppy Disk

What's fishy is the 255 sectors per track. Have you tried enforcing the correct number, e.g. 9 or 18? Aha! Sure enough, forcing 18 sectors per track results in a usable image. It doesn't particularly *like* it - I used the GUI, and it showed every single track as being "Good+Modified", apart from a...

Problems Dumping Humble Indie Bundle 12 Floppy Disk

A few bundles ago, Humble Bundle launched a physical reward set which included a 'shareware' floppy disk. It arrived today, and I dumped it via the KryoFlux for posterity - or I tried to. It didn't work, however: dumping to preservation stream format appeared to function correctly but with occasiona...

Re: Linux Version Stagnant?

Yes, no GPL discussion please. It's like religion. No one will win. I understand completely. As for features: We only sell products for what they are, not what they will become, unless this is specifically announced. Which is why I was concerned that the Linux version of your software - which was i...

Re: Linux Version Stagnant?

I am typing this on a Mac, besides an Amiga, with a Windows machine downstairs. We offer software for all of these. Yes, you do, but I wasn't looking for an imaging system for a Mac, an Amiga or Windows; I was looking for an imaging system for Linux. I appreciate that puts me in a minority position...

Re: Linux Version Stagnant?

For the time being (and I am just really open and realistic here): just use the Windows version. I've seen many scenarios and usually there's some other machine around somewhere. I understand you want to use Linux, but if the issue is really pressing, there'd by a way. Somehow. Well, I'd have to bu...

Linux Version Stagnant?

I bought a KryoFlux some time ago, and have been happily using the Linux version of the software. At the time of purchase, the Linux version was only a minor step behind the Windows release. Sadly, while development of the Windows version has continued apace the Linux release appears to have stalled...

Re: Write what you want!

Is there a timescale for when the writing feature (and other improvements/additions since 2.20) will make it to the Linux version? Ta!

A Laser-Cut KryoFlux Drive Housing

I bought a KryoFlux a while back, along with a 5.25" and 3.5" drive to use with it. Since then, I've been thinking how I can give it a nice housing but unwilling to sacrifice an old external drive caddy to do so. Basically, I needed a dedicated housing unit - and I happen to know someone rather clev...

Re: How to create Acorn ADF Images with KryoFlux?

Ignore me: turns out my MFM images worked just fine - but for some reason, RPCEmu needs me to load disk images in drive :1 for them to show up on drive :0 - which is why I was getting the error!
