Re: IBM 4869 - Kryoflux Edition

r3gVp1al.jpg Swapped the drive and cable, bit of metal between drive and PSU removed. od6YEU3l.jpg Everything tucked away nicely - unfortunately still a bit tall as you can see in the next picture.. Like the lazy trick I used to insulate the board without mounting it "properly"? I've used it on oth...

Re: HxC Floppy Emulator software stream loader.

It would be really damn nice to see that sort of visualization while/after dumping..

You said these images are generated using an hxcf-specific DLL? If possible it'd be nice to make a tool that'd just do KF streams, possibly integrate it into the java UI.

Re: Kryoflux Stream -> MFM Image

Oh I didn't connect the dots on the "Stream" option - forgot about that by the time I was looking for the capability, I was just scouring the DTC options by then. I did skim the manual looking for it, but I guess I just missed it. Thanks! I'm glad it has this feature.

Kryoflux Stream -> MFM Image

How can I take the stream data from a proper dump and create an MFM image? Surely it must be possible, since the stream data contains all of that information and more, but I couldn't find a way. I would think something along the lines of DTC reading in the stream data as though it were coming from t...

IBM 4869 - Kryoflux Edition

I've purchased an IBM 4869 that I intend to mount my Epson SD-880 (dual 3.5"/5.25" combo) and my Kryoflux in - it hasn't arrived yet, but I'm excited and will be posting here showing the enclosure before, during, and after its adaptation - unless for some reason I find it isn't big enough/etc. (it s...

Re: Two floppy connected

The bus supports four drives in theory, two in practice via one cable. The second drive is after the twist, so using the correct cable, you can have two drives which KF can access a drives 0 and 1. Not that I currently have need, but let's pretend in the future I get my hands on an 8" and 3" floppy...

Re: Drives confirmed working with KryoFlux

Canon 5011 - 84 Tracks Epson SD-880 (dual drive of SD-600 and SD-1100) - both 84 Tracks I purchased an IBM 4869 and I'm going to replace the drive with the SD-880 and mount the Kryoflux in there. I have an external PSU that'll do molex with the proper power output, so if I need to I'll remove the in...
