Re: POLL: Problems KryoFlux under MacOS

I guess it's sometimes very frustrating programing for apple as they often drop support for something you just finished! Here are some examples (not kryoflux related): https://www.anandtech.com/show/12894/apple-deprecates-opengl-across-all-oses https://www.pro-tools-expert.com/home-page/2018/12/3/a-...

Re: Request: Hard-sectored disks (5.25) for test material to KF team

Well, I didn't see that these have been pure images without any header information as they didn't had the typical .img extension. I just throw them on the HcX-tool and it did assume a standard sector lenght of 512 byte! Which is wrong...

Sorry, my fault!

Re: Request: Hard-sectored disks (5.25) for test material to KF team

So, I downloaded the files and looked at them. I fully agree with ZrX's investigation! But the decoded image files have a different layout. As mentioned earlier, the sectors contain 512 bytes and there are only 8 sectors on each track. Where did you get the images from? They don't look as the are cr...

Re: Request: Hard-sectored disks (5.25) for test material to KF team

Hmm, these images don't match with the layout ZrX found out! It's 8 sectors with 512 byte per track!

Would be better to upload (or provide a link to) the kryoflux raw files...

Re: Request: Hard-sectored disks (5.25) for test material to KF team

The CPU is Zilog Z80 and the 2708 eprom should be readable in 2716 mode while disconnecting pin 19 which is A10 on the 2716 but VDD on the 2708! You get the 2708 data twice than of course in the lower and upper half of the 2716 file... EDIT! Sorry but I was wrong the original Intel 2708 needs the -5...

Re: Request: Hard-sectored disks (5.25) for test material to KF team

Wasn't the Questar deliverd with CPM 2.2? I just checked that there isn't any "questar" entry in the diskdefs of cpmtools, but there are some with the parameters mentioned by ZrX. So cpmtools could help to get the files of the disks (if that is want you want)...

Re: Amiga / NDOS Problems

As You said, it's very important to use exactly the same version for restore as the one which was used for backup! The good thing is that all versions of quarterback are available today (as they are abandonware now)! You find them for example at https://archive.org/download/CommodoreAmigaApplication...
