Re: Old CNC system floppy copying

I stuck now, having also read your thread on the chipmaker.ru forum. But I'm also very shure that the kryoflux will read and write the raw data of theese floppies as long as there is no obscure copy protection involved. To be 99,9% shure you may have a look at the chip on the disk controller card wh...

Re: Control Command rejected by the device. CM: maxtrack=0

I'm a right in asuming that the drive is not spinning from the very start but beginning to spin up, when you fire the first command? And the drives LED is also off at first, but goes on with the spinning starts?

Re: Old CNC system floppy copying

It would be easier to give advice if you tell us about the type of cnc machine. Many of them are also covered by the hxc system at https://hxc2001.com/showroom/index.html...

Re: Control Command rejected by the device. CM: maxtrack=0

How do you supply power to the drive? Are the 5V and 12V (if you use a 5,25" drive or a very old 3,5" drive) okay?

Did you check that the jumpers for drive selectection are properly set? Do you have a twisted part in the drives cable?

Re: Korgutils floppy coding

There was/is a commercial program running on dos which works with theese floppies. So the data format must be WD1772 compatible and the kryoflux hardware can read anything that was written with that controller...

Re: Imaging hard sector floppies

Thanks for the pictures! Well, what shall I say. Theese holes are more or less home made! You can see that some of them are not exactly in the right position, some are marked with a pencil, and some of the floppies are labeld as single sided. So the additional holes are not made by the factory. Also...

Re: Imaging hard sector floppies

Whow, that's something really new for me. I have never ever seen any hardsectored 5,25" floppies with 2 index holes in the sleeve jacket! Are there any hints for the manufacturer or type on the label?
