Re: How to create 360k image from 80track dump

How about something like:

Usage: dtc {[options] -i<type>} ...

? I think the important thing to get across is that -i always ends the format specification, so it needs to be after any format options.

Re: DTC on Linux/PPC

Just for the records, off-line (-m1) use of the x86_64 Linux binary is possible through user-level QEMU emulation. The following wrapper script works: #!/bin/sh DTCDIR=/usr/local/kryoflux_2.20_linux/dtc LD_LIBRARY_PATH="$DTCDIR"/x86_64 exec qemu-x86_64 "$DTCDIR"/x86_64/dtc "$@" -m2 will not work tho...

Re: DTC on Linux/PPC

I'm running the official Mac OS X binary, which is a fat (dual architecture) binary as far as I can tell. No, the capture will always produce little-endian streams, because the streams are generated by the KryoFlux itself, not by the host. Or more specifically, the streams are mixed-endian, because ...

Re: DTC on Linux/PPC

Hi again. I have now created my own open source replacement for the dtc tool: https://github.com/zeldin/OpenDTC It only supports reading in raw format, but it runs perfectly on both the X1000 and the G4. While it is true that the G4 needed a bit more buffering than the X1000 for reliable operation, ...

Re: DTC on Linux/PPC

Sounds like I have missed a lot of drama here. :-)

But if you want to sign an IPF file, can't you use use GPG to create a detached signature? That should work for any file.

Re: DTC on Linux/PPC

Yeah, the Mac Mini is a bit old which is why I'd like to use a more modern system like my X1000 instead. ;-) However, this is hardly a performance problem. The CPU is 90% idle while DTC is running, so there are plenty of computrons to spare, and it's only a couple of hundred K of flux data to transf...

Re: DTC on Linux/PPC

Hi mr.vince, Thanks you for your reply. I actually have an old Mac Mini G4 around, so I tried the MacOS version. Unfortunately it doesn't work (I'm using OSX 10.5 PPC). It quickly spews out something about invalid streams. I can post exact traces later, but maybe I should start a new topic for this?...

Re: DTC on Linux/PPC

Sorry, maybe I was unclear. I was asking for the reason you're withholding the source code, preventing your customers from compiling it for other architectures and supply bugfixes. I'm not asking you to support all architectures, just to provide the source so that others can do it for you. And actua...
