John, I assume you're actually trying to "install" the .inf file. This is purely a driver, so please try by finding the "correct" device, e.g. Bossa device, and then chose to change driver, have disk and so forth.
A little more explanation including a screenshot or two might help.

Re: "could not communicate with kryoflux hardware"
If the board is good, attaching it in e.g. Windows will cause a "bing" and a SAMBA device or similar will show up. The Mac will also show something as a connected device in "About this Mac / System Report / USB". To search for the issue the GUI is not helpful. It's just a GUI, us...

Re: How can I ensure that the Kryoflux is the first to be powered on in an internally mounted scenario
Since the additional signal needed to turn on the bypass makes use of one of the odd (1, 3, 5, 7 etc.) cables which are usually grounded, adding another, unmodified, drive to a flippy setup will cause this operation to fail. This is also documented. Is this possible? If not, I have wasted over €500....

Re: 5.25 floppies image profile
Thanks a lot mr.vince, the drive is a Fujitsu M2553K, I found a manual (I am attaching it here), and it seems that this model just goes 360rpm (see page 14). So do you think that if I can dump the disk with a 300rmp speed I would be able to create readable images? Just for clarification purposes: K...

Re: Dumping and Emulation Issue
I have no experience with PC Jr. and PSI files, but does the format itself support non-standard data, violations of the recording scheme? If yes, then probably the software used for conversion does not present the scheme violations in a way expected by the program.

Re: 5.25 floppies image profile
There is a "density line" setting under the drive menu which should, while switching between HD and DD, also change the rpm. But this does not always work, it's something the drive does or does not. Some drives can be set via jumpers. KryoFlux itself can resample the data internally and in...

Could also be a lose connection or a bad cable. Have had this before.

Re: copy-protected 3,5" DOS Floppies & Kryoflux
Sorry for chiming in so late. Brightcaster is absolutely correct. The term weak just refers to the bit pattern, which changes, but the magnetic parameters are always the same. This is all about timing. The coding scheme enforces polarity changes. After all, we're looking at an AC recording scheme (m...

Re: Power Supply kills drives ?
Please check the voltage and let us know. Unfortunately, there's not much one can do to avoid PSUs dying. I've lost monitors, AV receivers and some other gear. In most cases, it's the power supply because the switching puts a lot of stress on the components and these things get smaller and smaller. ...

Re: Kryoflux Hardware not detected
We have received the board. The MOLEX connector and the are around shows some brownish residue, apparently from some type of liquid. More via email.
