Re: CM: maxtrack=0

Please see the floppy drive thread, it's sticky. Missing index may be related to three things: drive, cable or board (the bus drivers don't like voltage spikes). The error says that the board can't read the index signal which is the main reference during ingestion.

Re: Initial install: control command rejected by the device

I can only assume it's an attempt at sarcasm and therefore of zero value as an argument. No, he is spot on. This is a forensic (!) floppy controller and it works as advertised. It does not do other things. The major issue with this discussion is that it wastes time. It's leading nowhere. Of course ...

Re: Help with dump QNX 1.2

The strange thing these original KF dumps where used to create a working boot image under PCE and 86Box. If there were damaged via the USB buffer problems how could they be used as working images under these emulation programs? In this case all tracks that are damaged (have missing data etc.) are a...

Re: Initial install: control command rejected by the device

The whole software suite and all manuals are available for download and can be evaluated before purchase. I've also never seen any product advertising what can't be done with the product. Are you interested in getting your device set up? Then please answer our questions above. EDIT: Ok, I see that y...

Re: Initial install: control command rejected by the device

Just to clarify: all LEDs (three) on the KF board are steadily lit and illuminated? BTW: It's clearly outlined in docs and product description that KF will not make the disk available through Explorer. Windows has removed this functionality and even if it were present, this would not fit our approac...

Re: Help with dump QNX 1.2

The issue is not the disk itself, nor the drive, but the hardware/computer used to dump it. The machine must have gone bonkers when dumping because of all the error messages. Each USB packet is serialised and DTC will complain when a packet is missing and mark the read as bad. So this dump must hav...

Re: Commercial Drive Alignment Disk for IPF candidate

Alignment disks are "analogue" in nature and require, as outlined, special signal generators. A regular drive won't be able to create or duplicate these.

Re: Installing Kryoflux Windows 10 Pro

I would strongly suggest reading the manual as the above heavily implies this hasn't been done. I wish KF could be easy as a toy, but as with all precision tools, there is a learning curve. Yes, there is a GUI. It's also in the manual. Please read it. It has safety instructions. You don't want to lo...

Re: Installing Kryoflux Windows 10 Pro

John, I assume you're actually trying to "install" the .inf file. This is purely a driver, so please try by finding the "correct" device, e.g. Bossa device, and then chose to change driver, have disk and so forth.

A little more explanation including a screenshot or two might help.
