Re: Firmware v3

The firmware isn't flashed. It is downloaded onto the device when you use it, until you remove the USB. It's in RAM, like e.g. your browser.

If it's working, and DTC isn't complaining, all is fine.

Re: Caveman Ugh-Lympics for C64

First, this isn't dumping related (you're writing, not reading), so moving this thread.

2nd, this is a verify error. Maybe the disk (or the image) is knackered. Was the G64 made with KryoFlux (directly), or does this come from "the web"? Please let us see the start of the log as well.

KryoFlux v3.00 Windows Release

It's been on our list for a long time, so here it is: support for hard sectored disks. If your floppy drive supports it (there are drives which can't cope with hard sectored disks and will not return any signal when a hard-sectored disk is inserted) you can now ingest disks with more than one index ...

Re: Kryoflux Flippy Disk Preservation Commands

d64 does not store error information unless an error map (extension) is added at the end of the image file. G64 does store error information in the image. Also, the error correction in general is very error prone on the C64.

Re: Weird block sizes

Non-standard sector sizes either need a modified version of DTC (assignment), or you would have to wait for user defined formats. Third option would be to convert raw to your own format with a converter, e.g. in Python or similar.

Re: Amiga Game "Debut"

The CRC can't match as the raw data you are processing (German version) does not match the raw data of the original dump (English version).

From what I see the game uses two modified AmigaDOS tracks with sync marks a145 and a144, but just from looking at the name.

Re: Fuse SMD solder repair in the US?

We do use 0ZCJ0050FF2G for the most recent batches. https://www.digikey.de/product-detail/en/bel-fuse-inc/0ZCJ0050FF2G/507-1802-1-ND/4156236?cur=USD&lang=en Just to clarify: The culprit is not the fuse or the fact that the board _is_ fused on the 5V power rail. It's the change in USB ports and the f...
